If I wasn’t working in the M.I.C.E industry, I would spend my time feeling jealous for those who were.  The vibrancy combined with the hard work of the events,  keeps me on my toes for what is has now been 25 years. On the day of the most important event of my life, a gala dinner and awards ceremony for 1400 people, after following several days working around the clock, I never noticed that I was wearing two similar but different dress shoes for the whole day! However, as the event turned out to be a resounding success, I consider the incident to be my lucky charm.

I am responsible, disciplined, patient, self-controlled and loyal. I like to plan and rehearse everything in advance and I am a practical person who like structure, organization, tradition and stability. My job, events’ management:  starting from nil, creating, building, preparing and then executing an event … it is magic!!! I love spending time with my family and I relish moments with friends, tasting good wine. On an off day, I relax doing gardening and long walks with my dog, Maya!

Once, I had to run a cooking event in a remote village.  It was 6.30 in the morning, three and a half hours before event guests were arriving, when the chef realized he was missing twenty lambs!  I sprang into action, waking up every butcher in the nearby villages and by 10.00 I had saved the day and fallen all the more in love with my job.  I told you I had the expertise to deliver…(lambs)!

I was born in France but Greece is my adopted country. Her singularity and authenticity echoes to my curious and genuine personality, and my taste for simply rare and beautiful things. Working as a project manager offers me the opportunity to bound all these elements together and anchor them in reality, by creating unique and exclusive events. A site inspection in Mykonos on February: probably not the best period … Still, I do keep the memory of this strong sensation while sailing to Delos islet, on deep blue clear waters, and the visit of Delos, sparkling under the sun light, almost on our own!

My great, great, great, great grandfather was from Genova and had a title of nobility. The name of my family is included in the “Libro d’Oro della Nobiltà Italiana”.

Tourism and hospitality have always been more of a passion for me, rather than a job. Being of French and Greek origins and having lived and worked in many countries, I am adept to multicultural environments and always strive to be more flexible, imaginative, and committed to exceeding my clients’ expectations in my own Mediterranean and flamboyant way. I always make an effort to push myself and to go outside my comfort zone. So during one of my last events I tried paragliding. During my first lift off, I started screaming  and scared people on the ground but once I was up in the sky, I took in all the glorious views and panorama. At the end, I didn’t want to come down.

After an epic farewell party where guests danced until sunrise, one VIP client was nowhere to be found for his departure transfer the next morning. The reception called his room several times, I left over 50 missed calls on his mobile, the bellmen knocked like crazy… but nothing! In a desperate move, I jumped on a buggy and scoured the entire resort. Still, no sign of him! After an hour of near heart failure, I begged security to break into his room. They called to tell me he was snuggled up, sleeping like a baby. I screamed, “WAKE HIM UP! He’s gonna miss his flight!”

I have been pulling off evets for so many years, but I still have a little flaw; I cannot help but make visions come to life, no matter the difficulty or the cost (even if it means a few extra coffees ) Whether it’s a corporate event, a conference, an exhibition, or a social event, I looove to work on innovative ideas and the most daring concepts, and turn them into reality. She’d call me at midnight, apologizing for the millionth time, swearing it would be the last. Classic! Luckily she was not traveling too much and she was so sweet to argue!

Before diving into corporate events, I honed my skills organizing weddings. One standout memory was a beach-themed wedding where a flock of seagulls decided to join the festivities. Just as the ceremony began, they swooped down and made off with several plates of food! Instead of panicking, the couple and I turned it into a moment of shared laughter with the guests. While sailing, I helped the group’s on-site medic off a rib, but he lost his balance and almost fell into the water. I pulled him to safety, but he ended up falling right on top of me, and we both hit the ground. In the end, I caught him—guess I’m a hero now! Always ready to save the day!

At one of my first events, I was feeling pretty proud watching everything come together—until the guests started arriving and realized they had nowhere to hang their coats. Cue a mild panic and a mad dash through the neighborhood. I ended up sweet-talking a nearby venue into lending us some racks just in time. Now, coat racks are my number-one priority, right after making sure the venue actually has walls!

During a sports event in Nice (France), organized for kids, the theme was related to magic. Unfortunately, our magician didn’t show up, so I had to step in at the last minute (dressing up as the magician myself) to entertain the children.

I enjoy snorkeling, shopping and travelling. Accounts is the place where the heart of the company is beating, so I enjoy being in the core of the action. Most of my spare time is spent in shopping malls and cooking for friends.

Once, me and the team were decorating vases with flowers for a fabulous event. By the time we were done, I looked down and realized my hands were completely stained with red and pink paint—an accidental masterpiece! It was like carrying a little art gallery around with me. The paint didn’t wash off until the next day, so everywhere I went, people were giving my hands curious glances. Honestly, I found it kind of artistic—proof that creativity leaves its mark, quite literally!
